Just because this is still bothering me…
In my History of Rock class, we had to present our favorite rock piece. Instead of picking something really obvious like Pink Floyd or Green Day, I chose a Halestorm song. In particular, it was Rock Show.
After each presentation, our professor asks the classes opinion what genre of rock they classify it as.
SOMEONE SAID POP ROCK.
I wanted to scream a little bit. It’s just annoying that Halestorm is considered pop rock. They are pretty far from pop rock. And pop rock isn’t even a real fucking term anymore. People use it so loosely, hence why it can be shared with Metallica, halestorm, and Modest Mouse. No sense whatsoever.
But anyways, other than that, a lot of people actually said they liked my presentation, which I took as they enjoyed the song.
So I think I may have converted a few more people to the world of Halestorm. Fuck yeah.
